Azkargorta returns to Bolivia

Xabier Azkargorta Spanish was appointed new coach of football Bolivia replacing dimitente Gustavo Quinteros, a position known as the mustachioed when qualify to the green at the 1994 FIFA World Cup United States, reported the Bolivian Federation (FBF).

"The President of the WFF, Carlos Chávez, announced the hiring of the professional Xabier Azkargorta Uriarte as new director technical Bolivia national team" sports club said in a statement.

It said that "prior to this announcement the new coach met with all members of the Executive (from WFF) and the Committee's selections for exchanging criteria on its plan of work presented and the performance of the contract" for Bolivia.

The WFF reported that "other professionals who will accompany you to integrate the technical body, until the culmination of the current qualifying rounds, are Marco Antonio Etcheverry, Vladimir Soria and Marco Antonio Sandy, all of them in the role of technical assistant" and that they were part of the team that came to the U.S..

Disputed six dates of the knockout of South America to the World Cup of the FIFA 2014 Brazil, Bolivia March 7th among nine teams with four points, eight of Chile, leader of the regional pre-World Championship.

Previous experience
Azkargorta was already the Bolivian coach between 1993 and 1994, when it ranked for the first time to the green to a FIFA World Cup and then passed, without success, to command the selection of Chile.

The Spanish technical spoke last week about the possibilities of Bolivia, when asked: "who I guarantee, looking at the numbers, we're out (of the world)?".

Azkargorta replaces in Office the Bolivian naturalized Argentine Gustavo Quinteros, who was recently appointed as coach of the Ecuadorian Club Sport Emelec.

In the campaign of Quinteros, for a year and four months, Bolivia played 18 games of which won just two, a friendly and official clearance to Paraguay in June in La Paz by the sixth round sudamericana date.
